Here another one of my illustrations with my new bamboo (I love it!!!). This time I painted one of my favorite bloggers: Kristen form Mary Jane Girl. I really love her style and I like what she writes - an inspiration and interesting blogger.

And of course some outfit pics from my Netherlands trip. You see me here in Groningen, with my ankle brace, poor ankle :( but it is much better now, but no Lacrosse for me for some time...

road trip

Hey guys, I am back from Amsterdam, an amazing city!
We did a little road trip on our way to Amsterdam and stopped at some places we found interesting. Like this tiny harbour:

I am wearing my new white shiny jacket from american apparel.
The sweater is from H&M and a great oversized sweater! I bought the tights on our road trip in Groningen. You probably all know my black boots by now, nothing new. Due to my ankle injury I did not take any fancy shoes with me :(

IAMSTERDAM

 Amsterdam July 2009


Off to Amsterdam - Yeah!!! Still anyone any recommendations?
I probably won't be able to post often, so I leave you with one of my first BAMBOOOO-drawings!! (early Christmas present, thank you J <3 )
Anyway, packing was easy this time - ... forget nice autumn colors (dark red, dark blue, shades of camel), I packed "The Uniform" - a lot of black, some white and nude tones. The only downside is that I hurt my ankle yesterday during practice so I can't wear heels...bleh...annoying

Perle

Yesterday I was in Hamburg. A great city. Really beautiful end exciting. But it was coooooold...

I also bought new Kiehl's products, I am a big fan of Kiehl's.
I can truly recommend the Deeply Reparative Hair Treatment with olive fruit oil. The Argan Dry Oil is actually for your body, but I use it for my hair as protection (sun, ...) or an extra treatment when it is really dry! What I discovered: The Super fluid UV Defense: A really light fluid for your face that you put on the moisturized skin. I bought it, because I already have my favorite facial skin lotion (Vichy Normaderm) but without UV Defense. The stick is just a UV Defense cream for the eyes.

Thursday I go to Amsterdam!!!! Yeah!!! Do you guys have any recommendations? Vintage Shopping, Food, Clubs,...?

PS: Thank you for your sweet comments and questions. To answer them: I don't go to art school, I just had art as a major in highschool. I mostly paint portraits of people, people are just my favorite motive.
If I see a picture with a certain emotion, it inspires me and I share this emotion through my painting and make it my own. I mostly paint in acryl. So happy you like it, I will continue posting my art! But no worries, outfit pictures will follow soon, too :)

Sense of Fashion Pop Up Store

Ok, definitely too rainy to do an outfit post. So here another one of my paintings, enjoy them as long as I am inspired :) sometimes I don't draw or paint for weeks.

But I will promise to do an outfit picture soon! Even if it rains I will shoot, haha, will be awesome!

Talking of outfit, fashion and so on: For you New Yorkers: Check out the upcoming event taking place tomorrow in ..., ya, don't know what that part of Manhattan is called. Anyway Sense of Fashion will open a Pop Up Store located at 156 Stanton St, NY Nov. 11th from 6-9pm at the We The People Store.

 Why do I want you to go there? I would really really like to go there because a friend of mine is selling her designs there. Her label is called micamade and I showed a jacket designed by her on my blog here. And if you look really close on her website, you will see me modelling for her :)

Yesterday was an awesome day. We had a lacrosse game and we won and I shot 3 goals. On our way back on the train we turned the compartment into our private disco, played music, danced and sang. We were just so happy and had fun! Sorry to you guys who had been with us on the train, we were pretty loud and embarrassing...

Anyways, it gets harder and harder in winter to take some nice pictures for my blog. First, it is sooo cold here, I have to put so many cloths on, you can't really see what I am wearing besides an enormous amount of different layers, also it is raining A LOT lately. Second, the sun goes down between 4 and 5, and I prefer to take my photos outside. I have to think about something. But: Look at my new shoes!!! Aren't they great?? I love them, just received the package yesterday!

rainy day

 The last three days it is just raining, so I couldn't take any outfit pictures. Taking them inside is not so much fun as outside. The weather was just too bad. The pros for the rain are that it is a bit warmer than usual and that it is a great excuse to just sit inside, drink tea, watch videos and spend some time for your hobbies.
That is why I had so much time drawing and painting lately. I need a good inspiration to create a piece that I really like. Today I spent my time on painting two bloggers: Rumi from Fashion Toast and Vanessa from The Haute Pursuit. I used completely different styles of painting on these pictures.

I did an aquarelle for Rumis outfit that was really soft and airy. Perfect for water colors:

And for Vanessa's outfit for Halloween I used basic pens:

That is basically what I did today, besides drinking yummy tee, cooking and watching Vampire Diaries (I have to admit, I love Vampire/Werewolves/Supernatural-Shows). I hope you enjoy my art!

vintage backpack

backpack and coat, vintage. Scarf, Topshop. Boots, Bullboxer.

Looks like a traditional german "Weihnachtsmarkt" (christmas market), but it was the yearly fair "Freimarkt". A lot of fire dancers, midieval market, a lot of food, Flammkuchen, cotton candy, balloons, candy hearts and Gluehwein. I also bought some awesome spices at the midieval market (see photos). So for the readers who asked where I come from: Germany :)

Some days before, I went to a flee market and bought this backpack, a ring and a handbag. I will show you my findings in another post. I love buying rings on a flea market, you can find such unique pieces there!
