L.A.

Finally a new blogpost! Sorry for the lack of updates but after L.A. we went straight to our hotel in the Big Sur and there was basically no mobile phone connection and the slowest Internet connection ever. It was only possible to load one page at a time, I felt as I was back to dialog Internet. Anyway, back to L.A.: It was actually better and cooler than I thought! I mostly hung around at Silver Lake and at the beach and I found some really cute neighborhoods that I did not expect to find. Food was actually amazing, maybe that is why we started eating sushi until be explode...

Jacket, Aphorism. Shoes, Converse. Net shirt, Urban Outfitters. White blouse, F21. Dress/Skirt, Monki. Bag, Primark.

flared pants

Pants, F21. Shirt, vintage. Shoes, MIA Shoes. Necklace, H&M.

The first photos from San Diego on my blog! San Diego is a cool city, really laid back, easy going and pretty. The only thing was that (of course when I was there for 4 days) it was soooo cold!!! It was freezing! So I didn't try any surfing or body boarding or paddling, I barely got into the water once :)
I am in L.A. right now and the city treats me with better weather, but with a crazy traffic!
Going to the Thirsty Crow now! Hope their new fall cocktail menu is as delicious as it sounds!

Have a great weekend!
Bisous,
Mia

red pants in NY

Pants, H&M. Bag, Aldo. Bra, Victoria's Secret. Shoes, Bronx. Shirt, Lolita.

This was my last day in NYC. We went to the peacefood cafe (great vegan food, so yummy!!!!), visited the Museum of Photography and did a last stop at Times Square. I love this city, and even though I am in beautiful California now, I miss Manhattan so much and want to go back now :) Maybe also because the weather is not the best here in SoCal...Luckily I think I will have a chance to go back to the city in October!
I had a great time at Fashion Week. It was an exciting and fun experience, I hope I can re-experience again!

Bisous,
Mia

PS: I did not think these pants would attract a lot of attention in NYC...apparently they even do there! They are such a great find, cheap, stretchy, comfy and stylish! Find them here (Germany) or here (USA)!

fashiolista get together in NYC

Last Monday, so a week ago, I was at the fashiolista get together in New York City at the Blind Barber in East Village. The location was amazing. The entrance was an old retro looking barber shop and behind a big metal door was a really nice looking bar hidden! It was a great party with a really intimate feeling because everyone was so nice and you were able to talk to everyone. To my surprise a lot of big bloggers that I follow were there, too. But just enjoy the photos first!

Chiara and Anjuli, I loved hanging out with Anjuli, we have so much in common! And I was so happy to finally be able to meet Chiara! More on that later :)

Camilla, a beautiful italian girl living in NYC now! So lucky!!

I was so happy to meet these three lovely bloggers: Cindy, Isabelle and Julie!

Andy, Shea and Chiara.

I was also so happy to meet Carolina! Her blog was like the first blog that I ever followed :) She is so stylish and even prettier in real life!

As I said, I was so lucky to be finally able to meet Chiara. She is such a nice and sweet person, I loved talking to her. She loves her fans and is just like on her blog! A sweet person and live lover! So, everyone should head over to this gorgeous girl's blog: theblondesalad

Afterwards we were all hungry and headed to the Yaffa Cafe close by. Such a kitschy and cool location! The food was yummy, too!
Thank you fashiolista for this amazing night! I loved meeting so many different bloggers and get to know Emilie from the fashiolista team!

Bisous,
Mia

Day four of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week NY, Norman Ambrose

The spring 2012 collection of Norman Ambrose was the definition of elegance. A lot of sequins, shiny fabrics and elegant cuts. My favorite was a long flawy dress with sequins in the front. I could picture myself in many dresses and a lot of them just "need a moment".
My image quality improved for this show as you can see :) but I am still getting better and better with my camera. Unfortunately the Norman Ambrose show was my last NYFW show. It was an amazing experience I cannot really grasp yet. I cannot believe how lucky I am to have had this opportunity! A recap of my NYFW adventure will follow soon!

This was my outfit of the day, colorful to celebrate the last days of summer I am enjoying as much as possible! Later that day I went to the fashiolista get together where I met many bloggers, for example Andy, Chiara and Carolina. I will post about this event in my next blog post!

Thank you Monroe, for taking my outfit photos :)

Bisous,
Mia

Katya Leonovich

My look when I attended the Katya Leonovich show! The presentation was unique and inspiring. Katya Leonovich created something completely new for me with a mix of pattern and material, she played a lot with denim. She was inspired by sport and movement and you can definitely see this on how the presentation was put together! Isn't the bumble and bumble styled hair crazy-amazing?
Thank you Katya for this amazing opportunity to see innovative fashion like this happen! It even gave me some drawing/painting inspiration!

I was wearing: altered dress and tights, American Apparel. Jacket, Aphorism. Shoes, MIA Shoes. Bag, Primark.
